2nd year student Etain Doolan has been awarded 1st prize in the junior section of the PDST National Poetry Competition.
Etain’s entry, ‘A Page’, came out on top in the National Write A Poem Post Primary competition much to the delight of her English teacher Ms Leacy. This fantastic achievement for Etain comes in a year where the school was also recognised with the Well Read Award for the fostering of a whole school culture of reading, under the watch of teacher and school librarian Ms Power.
